I was given a project to make a logo for my magazine.
The genre I chose for it is automobile because I'm pretty much interested in this stuff.
I've always been interested in cars and writing about cars will surely be a good thing to do.
I chose the word MotorTrend not because it just popped in my mind. I had a lot of ideas but this suited me the most since there's no other magazine with the same name, making my magazine's name sound unique.
Attached with this article is the logo I've created for the magazine. Why did I make it like that?
Firstly, I wanted the color to be lesser black but not so light. And blue was like the perfect option.
The fonts I chose for the logo is sarif fonts because they're pleasing to eyes and another reason for that being, it doesn't matter what size my logo is printed in, users will still be pretty cool reading it. Old English is the font I used and for the tagline, I used sans-serif since obviously I didn't want it to sound boring by using same kind of fonts.
The name MotorTrend sounds pretty cool since the word reflects a meaning. Motors reflect the genre, that is automobile. And trend is obviously an important word since my magazine is going to be the trend setter for automobiles.
Lastly, I've got to tell about technical specifications of this logo.
It is created in Adobe Illustrator alone and the resolution set was 300. I created the artwork in 500x500 but later cropped it to fit the art.
The picture attached with this post was saved for web, that's the reason the quality is not pretty good.
